John Sheldon Doud Eisenhower was born August 3, 1922, in Denver, Colorado, the son of Dwight David Eisenhower (34th President of the United States) and Mamie Geneva (Doud) Eisenhower. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1944, then from Columbia University in 1950. In 1955, he graduated from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
